Referendum – Result of Poll

The result of the referendum on the Orleton and Richards Castle Neighbourhood Development Plan is as follows:

77% voted yes;

23% voted no.

There was a 35% turnout.

The declaration of results is available to download for your information – Declaration of Result of Poll.

The next stage will be for Herefordshire Council to make/adopt the plan. This process will take around 4 weeks.

NOTICE OF POLL

Notice is hereby given that:

A POLL for the above election will be held on Thursday, 13th July 2017 between the hours of 07:00am and 10:00pm to decide on the question below:

Do you want Herefordshire Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Orleton and Richards Castle (Herefordshire) to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

The situation of the Polling Stations is set out below:

Orleton Village Hall (Small Hall), Millbrook Way, Orleton, Ludlow, SY8 4HW

Richards Castle Village Hall, Richards Castle, Ludlow, SY8 4EQ

Referendum on the adoption of the Orleton and Richards Castle (Herefordshire) Neighbourhood Plan

A referendum will be held on Thursday, 13th July 2017 to decide on the question below:

Do you want Herefordshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Orleton and Richards Castle (Herefordshire) to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’

Referendum – Thursday, 13 July 2017

The date for the referendum on the Orleton and Richards Castle Neighbourhood Development Plan will be on Thursday 13 July 2017.  Everyone who is registered on the electoral roll will receive a polling card from Electoral Services, Herefordshire Council.

Please use your vote.  A simple majority will mean the plan is adopted by Herefordshire Council.
