Data from SID deployment – October-November 2020

The two Speed Indicator Displays, part-owned by the parish council, were deployed from 20 October to 15 November 2020, and the data from each SID is set out below:

Total traffic numbers (85%): 15,978
Average speed (85%): 40.1 mph
Highest speed recorded: 75 mph at 2.00pm on 4 November 2020

SID Results – Unit by county boundary
Total traffic numbers (85%): 12,881
Average speed (85%): 38.9 mph
Highest speed recorded: 60 mph at 8.15pm on 26 October 2020

NB: The measure used by West Mercia Police is called the 85th percentile, which is intended to capture the average speed of most drivers by excluding the highest and lowest speeds. The speeding data is shared with West Mercia Police.
